Vice Governor Almonte speaks at the 7th Bunga Dag Tabinal Festival in Aloran

The Municipality of Aloran celebrated its 7th Bunga Dag Tabinal Festival with the theme “Kulturang Aloranon Ipadayon Alang sa Dugang Kalamboan” last September 15, 2014. It also marked the opening of the month-long celebration of its town fiesta honoring St. Mathew as their Patron Saint.


The event started with a parade by the different participants including their colorful floats and the cutting of ribbon for the agro-trade fair with the blessing of the Parochial Priest, Rev. Fr. Arnold Daplin.

Provincial government officials were invited in the said event headed by the Provincial Governor Herminia M. Ramiro represented by the Provincial Administrator, Engr. Henry Ken Regalado. First District Representative, Hon. Jorge T. Almonte was invited as the Guest of Honor represented by his better half the Provincial Vice Governor Aurora Virginia “Jie-jie” M. Almonte.


Congressman Jorge T. Almonte in his message, delivered by Vice Governor Jie-jie Almonte, quoted a saying from Albert Camus, a writer and philosopher “Without culture, and the relative freedom it implies, society, even when perfect, is but a jungle,” expresses that indeed it is culture that makes us a civilized society. He added that in our quest for development, a sense of identity and nationalism is a prerogative if we are to preserve the culture of the people of Aloran.

Cong. Almonte ended his message by saying “Ug sa katapusan, uban sa akong pinalangang kapikas, Vice governor Jie-Jie Almonte ug sa among pamilya, kami manghinaot nga inyong makab-ot ang inyong mga panglantaw para sa dugang kalambuan, inubanan sa atong mga pag-ampo sa Mahal nga Patron, Sr. San Mateo ug sa atong labaw nga makagagahom”

Thereafter, Vice Governor Jie-jie-Almonte also gave her message and extended her congratulations to the people behind the success of the said event, headed by the Municipal Mayor Jimmy R. Regalado with his wife madame Gloria Regalado, the Municipal Tourism Council Chair. Together with the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Lenard Regalado and the Municipal Councilors, LGU Aloran worked as a team to make the Festival successful.
