SP Holds Christmas and New Year’s Get-Together Party
While everybody was merrymaking by holding their Christmas Party last December 2015, the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, on the other hand, deferred their Christmas Party to January 7, 2016. This was so in consideration of the prior commitments and full-packed activities of the SP officials and employees since October to December 2015. Everybody was still excited and filled with the spirit of Christmas as they received abundant gifts from the Provincial Vice-Governor Aurora Virginia M. Almonte and the Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan during the SP Christmas and New Year’s Get-Together Party which was held at the Provincial Cultural and Farmer’s Training Center.
The party was filled with fun and excitement as the employees played various exotic games and all participated in the line dance. It was an extraordinary line dance because everyone was given a cash prize. It was even made more fun when employees were selected for a dance showdown where the 14 contestants were all declared winners and were given cash prizes. There were also raffle draws. Prizes included a rice cooker as 4th prize, electric fan as 3rd prize, refrigerator as 2nd prize, and flat screen television as 1st prize.
In the end, everybody was so busy bringing home all their gifts. This just goes to show that Christmas could be a day-to-day celebration, everyday when there is sharing. It is not about WHEN it is celebrated, but WHY it is celebrated!
